Thank you so much for everything you are doing for Gimp!!! You know I am really blown away at whole open source community and all they do. They must be a lot of different things to do actually :) If you have any idea, you are welcome ! The 'color boost' method already uses it to acts only on the color layer only, without changing the edges. Shelly : I don't know exactly how it can be used for general purposes. Does that work better on contours and low-frequency? How do you anticipate people will edit the layers in the split-to-two-layers mode? I often split to luminance and color to apply noise reduction and sharpening separately. I started using it with converted B&W and found it great for balancing.I set up several presets for Lowering or Increasing all colors equally (for B&W) for Highlights, Mid, and Shadow ems to go along with Tone Correction.just a thought. I have recently started using (playing with) the Color Balance tool due to it's ability to balance Highlights, Mid, and Shadow.
Normally I like to start corrections with ISO cleanup.followed by Clarify (high radius Unsharp mask), and then white balance.I then move on to colors.as in your Tone Correction.would be nice to incorporate some of this. I love the plugin and the upcoming improvements looks great. Through time, I just try everything but it seems very nice tone correction spceie
Let me know if you have some nice ideas that I could put in the G'MIC plug-in. Not much of interest but here is it that's it ! As you see G'MIC is not dead :) I'm trying to release this version before the end of August. So you can act on each layer separatly and recompose them there is one small improvement for the "Mosaic" filter, with a relief option. So let me consider this initial color image improved the 'Polaroid' and 'Drop Shadow' effects to that it generates these effects on a transparent background allows more flexibility to compose with other backgrounds that flat colors as before.Īlso, I renamed the 'Water reflection' filter to 'Reflection', with lot of additional options : colored reflection, perspective, the colors manipulation, I've added a new filter 'Tone correction' which allows to set the gamma/brightness/contrast separatly for each image tone I've added a Lab color mixer (following the nice idea from this post) is also a new 'local color boost' entry, which sometimes gives interesting HDR-like results I added a new entry to ease the creation of color gradients filling all the image added a 'morphological filters' entry which allows to do the classical erosion/dilation/opening/closing operations there is a new filter that splits an image into two layers : one for the colors (low frequencies) and the other for contours (high frequencies). If you have suggestions, do not hesitate ! There are not available yet in the latest stable G'MIC release, but it is just to give you an idea. So, let me present some new G'MIC filters. As I've done some screenshots, I would like to share this progress with you, and ask if you have additional ideas for new filters or to improve the overall G'MIC interface (if you use it of course). G'MIC is a multi-purpose plug-in that offers various image effects and filters.
Or knows how to can help, it would be greatly appreciated.During these days I tried to improve the G'MIC plug-in for GIMP. In folder but idk whether i'm supposed to extract allįolder or if certain files go to certain folders. I downloaded but now i don't know what to do That will fix most of compatibility problem with Gimp 2.6 the build you host is unusable since gimp 2.4 popped out. Jernej Simon?i? any hope for a windows build of GAP as from the last svn ? Let me know if that help or if you enconter any other related problem
Pack contain a how to install and a good and clear guide for use,
Here the link on top ,on the first message highlighted in red updated download links, Nobody till now was able or find the time to compile for Windows)but will work much better on gimp 2.6 and perfectly on gimp 2.4
Then there is a more recent installer, is not yet perfectly updated to work with gimp 2.6 (all problem are already fixed in the source code but First i doubt you have found the right installer because that more easy to trace was obsolete even for Gimp 2.4, and work as should only with gimp 2.0 or gimp 2.2.i will not use it with last stable gimp
